It took about 30 hours, but I’ve finally finished this bag. A small tribute to the tenth doctor.
Also, don’t mind my cat. She’s just sleepy.
This started as a Claptrap, but I messed up right in the beginning, so I just kept going at it and accidentally made a small case? purse? thing?
though the face is not glued yet, but i like how disappointed it looks.
This is a crocheted Avatar: The Last Airbender-inspired bag. I’ve been working on it for a long time for my friend, Kelsey, who ships Zuko/Katara. I do not personally ship this, but she offered to pay my price for it, so it is done. Well, almost done. It still needs a lining and zipper.
Time: 12 hours (13, if the zipper installation is problematic)
Price: $65
Crafting: Geek level - Tardis
Thank you Crochet Dynamite for this lovely pattern!

Know what’s awesome??
I’m going to be seeing Iron Man 3 in about 19 hours.
Know what’s even more awesome??
I finished my Captain Marvel bag in time to debut it at IM3!!!
I’ve worked nonstop on it for the last week and a half after a saw an awesome cross-stitch pattern that I couldn’t resist turning into a bag. It’s my very first (completed) tunisian crochet project!! And only the second time I’ve made a bag. The lining is hand sown so it’s a little sloppy since I have no idea how to sew, but it holds together so far.
I have absolutely fallen head over heals for Kelly Sue DeConnick’s run for Captain Marvel and could think of no better way to celebrate the beginning of MCU’s Phase II than with a Carol Corps bag at the IM3 premiere.
Sailor Moon wallet design I’m working on.

It’s on Ravelry, too, so you can add it to your projects list if you do it!

Please leave any feedback for me here or on the blog! Thanks!
I know what you’re probably thinking, “WHY??!?” Well, why not? It’d make a great gag gift for an expecting mother, and is handy to keep womanly items in it — it’s just long enough to keep a couple tampons, or an emergency pad or panty liners…or candy! No, it isn’t discreet, but at least nobody will ask questions. And it’s the perfect for keeping people away from something you want to keep for yourself! :)
Here’s the progress on my TARDIS bag (pattern here). I have the bag body done and will be using that awesome spacey fabric as a liner (after I iron it). I’m going to make the POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX strap and re-enforce it with the same fabric. I’m considering making a TARDIS button out of clay but I don’t have the blue color I need and that’s a lot of work, so I might just use a regular large white button. It’s going to be so incredibly bad ass when it’s done.
My daughter has been watching Invader Zim lately, so I figured I should probably check out Ravelry’s Invader Zim selection…and do a Roundup while I’m at it!

Still wondering if I should line it or not. Here’s a picture of the strap not yet attached to the bag. I actually made the strap’s back piece longer because I found the original pattern a bit too short. The pattern is by Jaime Maraia and Kendra Harris. c:

Showing off my Gryffindor pride with my finished purse. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Don’t know if I’ll keep the keychain on there as it’s heavy and used to like to take things out at the store, but we’ll see how it goes.
Made with crochet Basketweave stitch and knitted I-cord for the strap.
Im not from fandom but I know some people will love this so
